the brand, the history, the community

  • Fiends started in a tiny bachelor apartment where I would read tarot and make crystal infused bath salts. After a big leap, I invested in a small studio space where for over a year I would read cards, sell curated thrift collections, host intimate spiritual community events and collaborate with incredible small makers whether by holding space for their product in the shop or making unique creations together.

Fiends was only 4 months into its first studio space when covid hit, which means I had to pivot a lot and get really creative with how to operate long-term. We either had to expand to accommodate or shrink and go totally online.

As I navigated year two of business, I took on a business partner and we expanded into a bigger space where we could have larger events, make more products, and have a space for our spiritual work. We stayed there for a year, but with restrictions ever looming we were ultimately running a shop of other peoples creations and had no time or resources to continue growing in the way we had. Without the ability to run events, hold people in our space and generally do our work as spiritual workers it was evident something needed to change.

My business partner and I both knew we ultimately didn’t want to be shop keepers, so we parted ways and I moved the entire shop one last time into my home studio.

  • From there, dreams and visions I had about the Fiends line changed and are slowly being realized in new ways.

Now, I do my spiritual work under my own name. While Fiends still exists as a presence online, it isn’t a functioning business in the way it used to be. Fiends Collective has shifted to Fiends by Cowgirl Oracle and has been its own spiritual journey in following your truth, letting things happen in strange ways and trusting the universe.

Ultimately, Fiends is the legal brand in which I create my work under - whatever that may come to be.

  • As the Fiends brand changes and evolves, I hope to continue getting closer to what feels good for me as a creator.

Fiends was always a place where the conjunction of my curiosities could play and I would love to establish a creative cycle where I can do drops of the things I’ve been working on and allow myself to grow and thrive in a role as a creative entrepreneur as well as spiritual worker. In fact, I feel these pursuits are a part of my spiritual path.

We will continue to be a name that is known for spiritual community and will take full advantage of the availability to bring Fiends around the world due to the lack of physical space holding me here.

A resurrection of the podcast Impractical Spirituality may be on the horizon, as well as some more courses and programs I’ve been developing (like a fiends version of the artists way!).

Ultimately, I’m taking it one day at a time and will let the future of Fiends unfold as it should.

spiritual community, handmade ritual wares shop, spells + rituals, courses + workshops

incense holders, mini tarot decks and beaded lighter cases as a mock up of future offerings.

As a brand the vibe of Fiends is playful, maximalist and vibrant. I use symbolism in all of what we design so there is magic infused into every aspect of the business.
thoughtful and multi-functional offering are the aim so you can make the most out of what you're fiending for.
