What The Universe Said Today
Part of my journalling practice/prompts/discoveries is that I actually can use my journal and my writing to connect with the sources and information that I need. Often I use my journal as a place to sort things out, leave it behind, hype myself up, let ideas flow out… and sometimes I use it for universal guidance.
This is one of my favourite and most profound practices ever - partly because it’s so simple and partly because it’s so effective.
Literally all I do is write “Dear Universe, …” and then whatever comes next. I write it a little letter thanking it and asking my questions and it writes one back to me, through me “Dear Forest…”
Here is what the universe and I had to say to each other today.
Dear Universe,
Hello I love you so much today and always. You are so good to me & I’m grateful for your blessings. What do you need me to know today?

Dear Forest,
Hello, I love you too. I need you to know it is okay to surrender your choke hold on knowing and perfecting and figuring it all out. You are brilliant, but you are also a vessel. I will always give you the emptiness and fullness you need - not necessarily what you think you want. Trust the timing of all my blessings and steams. I am priming you for some truly unbelievable opportunities - I know you can see and feel them inching towards you. I know you can see all of it unfurling. Maybe you can let yourself be pleasantly surprised by what I need fro you. Maybe you can put the tether you have on numbers away because it is only holding you back from truly receiving the way I want and need you to; you know as well as anyone the divine work of being a vessel. Please just show up at the page; show up at the idea. Don’t let the perfectionism or fear bring you into not doing. You are ready for the next steps, you are more capable than your falling points give you credit for & I trust you deeply, truly to bring your visions (my visions) to life. You know what you need to do, I can see you seeing it in your mind. Now all you need to do is actually just go for it. You’ve got this - always have & always will because I am right here with you in it. Believe, trust, & act in faith. The worst that can happen is the same thing that happens if you do nothing.
Sometimes you need to remove the tenderest part from the actionable part; which is to say the part of you that writes & creates these things isn’t the same as the part that sells them. They make a whole, but you can and are allowed to find separation in them in order for them to both feel supported and thrive.
GO DO THE THINGS! BE SCARED AND DO IT ANYWAY! LET YOUR FEAR TURN TO AWE! LET YOUR CURIOSITY LEAD YOU TO ASKING THE DAMN QUESTIONS!
